光栅尺的使用注意事项 Precautions for the Use of Grating Scales

​1. 安装光栅尺线位移传感器形式比较灵活，可安装在机床的不同部位。一般将主尺安装在机床的工作台(滑板)上，随机床走刀而动。

The installation form of grating scale linear displacement sensors is flexible, which can be mounted at different positions of machine tools. Generally, the main scale is installed on the worktable (slide carriage) of the machine tool to move along with tool feeding.

2. 读数头固定在床身上，应尽量安装在相对机床静止部件上，尽可能使读数头安装在主尺的下方。此时输出导线不移动易固定，而尺身则应安装在相对机床运动的部件上(如滑板)。

The reading head shall be fixed on the machine bed, preferably on relatively stationary components of the machine tool, and installed underneath the main scale whenever possible. In this way, the output wire is stationary and easy to fix, while the scale body shall be mounted on moving machine tool components such as the slide carriage.

3. 安装方式的选择注意切屑、切削液及油液的溅落方向。如果由于安装位置限制采用读数头朝上的方式安装时，则增加辅助密封装置。

When selecting the installation method, pay attention to the splashing direction of metal chips, cutting fluid and lubricating oil. If the reading head has to be installed facing upward due to space limitations, auxiliary sealing devices shall be equipped additionally.

4. 光栅尺传感器与数显表插头座插拔时应关闭电源后进行。

Power off the equipment before plugging and unplugging the connector between the grating scale sensor and digital display meter.

5. 尽可能外加保护罩，并及时清理溅落在尺上的切屑和油液，严格防止任何异物进入光栅尺传感器壳体内部。

Install an outer protective cover as far as practicable. Clean metal chips and oil stains splashed on the scale timely, and strictly prevent foreign matters from entering the housing of the grating scale sensor.

6. 定期检查各安装联接螺钉是否松动。

Regularly inspect all mounting connecting screws for looseness.

7. 为延长防尘密封条的寿命，可在密封条上均匀涂上一薄层硅油，注意勿溅落在玻璃光栅刻划面上。

To extend the service life of dustproof sealing strips, evenly apply a thin layer of silicone oil on the strips; avoid splashing silicone oil onto the engraved surface of the glass grating.

8. 为保证光栅尺传感器使用的可靠性，可每隔一定时间用乙醇混合液（各百分之五十）清洗擦拭光栅尺面及指示光栅面，保持玻璃光栅尺面清洁。

To ensure operational reliability of the grating scale sensor, wipe and clean the main grating surface and index grating surface regularly with 50% ethanol mixed solution to keep the glass grating surface clean.

9. 光栅尺传感器严禁剧烈震动及摔打，以免破坏光栅尺，如光栅尺断裂，光栅尺传感器即失效了。

Avoid severe vibration and impact on the grating scale sensor to prevent scale damage. The sensor will be completely disabled once the grating scale is fractured.

10. 不要自行拆开光栅尺传感器，更不能任意改动主栅尺与副栅尺的相对间距，否则一方面可能破坏光栅尺传感器的精度；另一方面还可能造成主栅尺与副栅尺的相对摩擦，损坏铬层也就损坏了栅线，以而造成光栅尺报废。

Do not disassemble the grating scale sensor privately, nor arbitrarily adjust the relative gap between the main grating and auxiliary grating. Such actions will not only impair measurement accuracy, but also cause friction between the two gratings, damage the chromium coating and grating lines, and result in permanent scrappage of the grating scale.

11. 应注意防止油污及水污染光栅尺面，以免破坏光栅尺线条纹分布，引起测量误差。

Prevent oil contamination and water infiltration on grating surfaces, so as to avoid distortion of grating line distribution and consequent measurement errors.

12. 光栅尺传感器应尽量避免在有严重腐蚀作用的环境中工作，以免腐蚀光栅铬层及光栅尺表面，破坏光栅尺质量。

Avoid operating the grating scale sensor in severely corrosive environments, which may erode the chromium coating and scale surface and degrade the overall performance of the grating scale.
