1. 光栅尺传感器与数显表插头座插拔时应关闭电源后进行。

1. Power must be cut off before plugging or unplugging the connectors between the linear scale sensor and the digital display meter.

 2. 尽可能外加保护罩，及时清理溅落在尺上的切削和油液，严格防止任何异物进入壳体内部。

 2. Install an external protective cover whenever possible. Timely remove cutting debris and oil splashed on the scale, and strictly prevent any foreign matter from entering the shell interior.

3. 定期检查各连接螺丝是否松动。

3. Regularly check whether all connecting screws are loose.

4. 为延长防尘密封条的寿命，可在密封条上均匀涂上一薄层硅油，注意勿溅落在玻璃光栅刻划面上。

4. To extend the service life of the dustproof sealing strip, apply a thin even layer of silicone oil on the sealing strip. Take care not to splash it onto the engraved surface of the glass grating.

5.为保证光栅尺传感器使用的可靠性，可每隔一定时间用乙醇混合液（各50%）清洗擦拭光栅尺面及指示光栅面，保持玻璃光栅尺面清洁。

5. To ensure the operational reliability of the linear scale sensor, clean and wipe the scale surface and the index grating surface periodically with a 50%/50% ethanol mixed solution to keep the glass grating surfaces clean.

6. 光栅尺传感器严禁剧烈震动及摔打，以免破坏光栅尺如光栅尺断裂，光栅尺传感器即失效了。

6. The linear scale sensor shall be free from severe vibration and impact. Damage such as grating fracture will render the sensor completely ineffective.

7. 不要自行拆开光栅尺传感器，更不任意改动主光栅与副光栅的相对间距，否则一方面可能破坏光栅尺传感器的精度，另一方面可能造成主光栅尺与副光栅尺的相对摩擦，损坏铬层也就破坏了栅线，以而造成光栅尺报废。

7. Do not disassemble the linear scale sensor privately, nor arbitrarily adjust the relative clearance between the main grating and the secondary grating. Otherwise, the sensor accuracy will be impaired; meanwhile, relative friction between the main and secondary gratings will occur, damaging the chromium coating and grating lines, and eventually leading to permanent scrappage of the linear scale.

8. 应注意防止油污及水污光栅尺面，以免破坏光栅尺线条纹分布，引起测量误差。

8. Prevent oil contamination and water staining on grating surfaces, so as to avoid damaging the grating fringe distribution and causing measurement errors.

9. 光栅尺传感器应尽量避免在严重腐蚀作用的环境中工作，以免腐蚀光栅尺铬层及光栅尺表面，破坏光栅尺质量。

9. The linear scale sensor shall be kept away from severely corrosive working environments, to prevent corrosion of the chromium layer and scale surface, and deterioration of the overall performance of the linear scale.

三坐标测量机的光栅尺清洁，可以使用脱脂棉球蘸无水酒精，手拿棉球从光栅的一端擦向另一端，然后换掉这个棉球，用干净棉球接着擦，棉球不能重复使用，注意不能来回擦。擦的过程中不要碰读数头，不要让棉球的纤维粘在光栅上，读数头有静电会吸附纤维影响读数。三坐标测量机的光栅尺不宜经常擦，一季度或半年擦一次即可。

For the cleaning of the grating scale of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM): Use degreased cotton swabs moistened with anhydrous ethanol. Hold the cotton swab and wipe the grating scale in a one-way stroke from one end to the other, then discard the used swab and continue wiping with a clean new one. Do not reuse cotton swabs and avoid wiping back and forth.

During cleaning, do not touch the reading head, and prevent cotton fibers from adhering to the grating scale. The reading head generates static electricity, which will absorb residual fibers and consequently cause reading errors.

The grating scale of a CMM does not require frequent cleaning; a maintenance interval of once every three months or six months is sufficient.
